The U.K. economy grew 0.3% in the December to February period, the National Institute of Economic and Social Research has said.
This follows 0.6% growth in the three months to January period.
The NIESR growth figure for the three months to February is in comparison with the September to November period of last year.
The research institute said it did not expect U.K.'s national output to pass its 2008 peak until 2012.
