Italy Consumer Price Inflation Eases To 1.2% In February

Consumer prices in Italy were up 1.2% year-on-year in February, the statistical office ISTAT said on Tuesday, confirming the preliminary estimate. This is lesser than the 1.3% inflation rate in January.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up 0.1%, also confirming the preliminary estimate.

Meanwhile, the harmonized index of consumer prices climbed 1.1% annually in February, slower than the 1.3% increase in the preceding month. On a monthly basis, harmonized consumer prices were flat.
